Learn about configuring different room types in your inventory and using them in itineraries.
A room type is a type of pricing category used to manage different accommodation options within your Stays products, such as "Double Room" or "Family Suite." It differs from per-person pricing categories, which are based on traveler types like adults or children.
👉 To Set Up Room Types in Your Inventory:
-
Go to the Products section.
-
Click the My Products tab.
-
Open a Stays product.
-
Go to the Pricing tab.
-
Select the "Per night" pricing option.
-
In the Room type field, click Edit to create or manage room type options.
⚠️ Important: Pricing categories are not automatically translated by TripCreator. If you want them to appear in different languages in your itineraries, be sure to save them in your preferred languages.

Use the dotted menu to add more room types, if needed.

If rates were presaved, they will populate the pricing table automatically.

You can freely adjust these rates in the itinerary’s pricing table.

👉 Pricing table Calculation
Per person items are calculated as: number of nights × number of people.
Per night items are calculated as: number of nights × number of rooms.
☝️ Note:
Stay items in the pricing table automatically receive the unit count (nights) based on the duration of the stay, as set in the planner. The duration is configured by adjusting the start and end time of the item. You won’t be able to manually set the number of nights in the pricing table for stays.
